Cognitive Rehabilitation Software

Ormond Software Enterprises produce cognitive rehabilitation software. The purpose of these programs is to attempt to improve brain functions related to concentration, memory, reasoning and the like.  Usually this kind of mental exercise is used following brain injury, such as that caused by a stroke or head injury.

Computer based exercises of this type provide repetitive drills that gradually help to improve various brain functions. The effectiveness of the software will vary and depends on a multitude of factors.  These included the degree of damage in the patient’s brain; how long after the brain injury the software is being used; the consistency of usage of the software; the patient’s motivation to recover, and so on.  Therefore Ormond Software Enterprises makes no guarantee that the software will be effective.

This software would usually form only one small component of a larger regime of cognitive and neurological rehabilitation being provided by a team of professionals.     For more information on that type of rehabilitation, click here.

At present Ormond Software Enterprises produces three cognitive rehabilitation programs. Click here to download a demonstration version of a program.
