Neuropsychological Services
Clinical neuropsychological services are provided by Digby Ormond-Brown and a team of associates. Digby is an accredited full member of the South African Clinical Neuropsychological Association. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of brain-related disorders, including head injuries, strokes, Alzheimer’s disease, neurotoxin exposure, brain tumours, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease, to name a few.
The practice is located in the Netcare Rehabilitation Hospital in Auckland Park, Johannesburg. The hospital is a neurological rehabilitation facility and focuses on brain and spinal conditions. The practice is a private practice, as are all the practices located in the hospital. While we are financially independent of the hospital, we work in close conjunction with the other professionals at the hospital to provide an integrated neurological rehabilitation service. Other disciplines located within the hospital include general medical practitioners, neurologists, physiotherapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, orthotists and prosthetists, social workers, and speech and swallowing therapists. Our neuropsychological practice is effectively the Neuropsychology Department of the hospital.
The neuropsychology team comprises Digby and hardworking colleagues. Most of the testing is done by psychometrists, led by the Principal Psychometrist, Keentseng Sibisi.
